Crown Lifting

Increasing the clear space

• Crown Lifting is the technique of increasing the clear space below the foliage of a tree, when clearance is needed for pedestrian and vehicular access.

Technique

• We do tree crown lifting to clear sight lines by removing the lower branches or the whole branches that may be causing an obstruction that extend below the desired clear heights. Example: Trees that obstructing a footpath, highway or a building.

Reduce Weight of a Tree

• Crown lifting is a way to reduce weight from a tree and allow light to pass through the tree. This can be of major benefit to the surrounding environment and create environmentally friendly.

Less Damage

• This type of pruning does much less damage to a tree than reducing the canopy size. It is best done gradually over a period of years.

Crown Lifting good for:

• to provide clearance under the tree
• make signs visible that were installed too far off the ground
• keep the lower branches away from traffic and buildings

Crown Thinning

We doing crown thinning by removed the portion of smaller or tertiary branches from throughout the crown to thin the density within the tree crown. The branches that rub or cross another should be removed systematically within 30% overall of the tree to avoid producing “lion’s tails”. Lion’s tails can result in sun scalding, epicormic sprouting and weak branch structure and breakage.

In the long run, crown thinning can create and maintain a stable tree structure which prevents safety hazard such as low-growing branches and growth forms subject to danger near pathway or road.

Crown Reshaping

Tree Crown Reshaping is a way to bring the tree to a desirable condition or shape. It is recommended as being a ‘once-only’ operation to make the tree safe.

Technique

• We reshape the crown by cutting back to a side branch to maintain a flowing branch line.

Crown Cleaning

Crown cleaning is a way to remove the diseased, dying or dead wood from the canopy of the tree.

Technique

• We do crown cleaning by remove the stumps of broken branches, climbing plants and unwanted epicormic shoots for safety reasons. It is far safer for the crown of the tree to only hold the live wood.

Pollarding

Pollarding is a tree maintenance technique that used to control the tree size. For example, pollarding results in a large and mature tree become small and its lifespan can be greatly increased. Pollarding involves the removal of all limbs back to the main trunk.

Technique

• We do tree pollarding as it is a method of encouraging lateral branches by cutting off a tree stem or minor branches two or three metres above ground level. After the initial cutting, the tree is then allowed to regrow.

Crown Lifting good for:

• to control the size of the tree due to restricted soil space or the tree having been planted too close to structures
• to avoid dead wood from falling from the tree for safety reasons.

Tree Stump Removal

Our tree operation involves removing the unwanted tree stumps by remove the main root ball of a stump to a depth of approximately 150mm below ground level. Our team able to grind out unwanted tree stumps by using our machines.

Tree Felling

We doing tree felling when the tree is diseased, dead or has become dangerous and needs to be removed entirely.

Technique

• We will carry out a sectional felling process where the tree is dismantled in sections from the top down. Our arborist team will process the section for removal when each section reaches the ground.

Tree Transplanting

By transplanting, the trees are given the best possible start to enable them to establish and thrive. It avoids the necessity to constantly prune or remove trees before they reach maturity.

Technique

• Our arborist team will dig and move trees with balls of soil adhering to portions of their root systems to minimize damage and improve their chance of survival. For safety issue, before the tree transplant can take place, we will evaluate the transplanting project to make sure that it is successful and the plants are up to the task.

Tree Climbing

Some trees are easy to cut down without the need for climbing, while others require climbing to prune or remove the tree.

Before climbing, our team will plan carefully and speculate where the branches will fall. Limbs that can be cut down from the ground can be chopped off with a handy chainsaw.
